I just learned from a reader named Ryan that the interior of Allison’s house wasn’t a set after all. They filmed inside what is known as “The Crank House” in Altadena, California. It is bound in human skin and contains the recipes for her most powerful and evil spells,” Allison reads on the display in the museum.

There’s also an Easter Egg with the fan designer’s name and birthday on one of the graves. With the minifigures and these iconic characters being a huge draw of the set, the designers have also come up with this fence/gate section which also double as a display stand for all the minifigures. Like most licensed sets, the minifigures are the heart and soul of the LEGO Hocus Pocus set. 6 minifigures are included (sadly no Billy!), and include Max and Dani Dennison, Allison Watts, and the Sanderson sisters – Sarah, Winnifred, and Mary Sanderson in their witchy best. I don't like how the outside of the building looks at all. But then again I might have been spoiled by the excellent blacksmith set.

But as the LEGO Ideas team tends to do, they sucked most of the character out of it.Also, awful, awful price. The ones used on the box make it look like a knock-off. Obligatory "Allison, Allison, kiss me, I'm Allison" quote.Honestly, my main let down with this is Allison's face print. It just doesn't fit the character like the other prints do. The witches are so detailed, and Max's face just really works, but then Allison's just looks like a reused print. Reading the rest of the comments, it appears that I'm the only person on Brickset Dot Com who (A.) has seen the movie, (B.) liked the movie, and (C.) intends to buy this set.

When closed, the doors push the green button which illuminates the light brick. The light from the fire can kind of be seen from the outside once the wall sections are closed, but I think it’s more fun just to press the button with the doors open. We also get to add one of the most famous props from the movie, the black flame candle! The round candle body is printed, which is nice, and the flame is a translucent grey, which is a new color this year.
The Hocus Pocus house is in Salem, Massachusetts
I suspect that after the 10 thousand voters for this set have bought it... Or not, it is way more expensive than expected, espically when compared to the Home Alone house... Overall, it seems like the scale of the model is off. I feel that the house could either have been half again bigger or done smaller as a cutaway. Either approach would have allowed the details shine more.

Oh, and also really happy that that "witches hat and hair" mould has made it to an official set. It was originally intended for further Vidiyo sets, but we all know what happened there. I might actually pick up the minifigs of the three witches and put them in a random halloween display. I like the set, but I'd be surprised if there's the AFOL market for this one.
It comes in a typical box for any current-generation LEGO set, with a taped or glued box manufactured using relatively thin glossy cardboard. The thin cardboard is more environmentally friendly than the thicker cardboard on some older sets, but it also can be prone to damage. As you will see, the back of my copy was damaged in transit. The LEGO Group was founded in Billund, Denmark in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen, its name derived from the two Danish words LEg GOdt, which mean “Play Well”. Today, the LEGO Group remains a family-owned company headquartered in Billund.

That's all the LEGO release news for this month, but August 2023 is going to be stacked. Tons of great sets are out next month, some of which are not up for preorder and will have to be purchased when the clock strikes midnight on the dawn of the new month. To sate your LEGO needs until then, be sure to check out our picks for the best LEGO sets for adults, as well as the best LEGO Technic sets and the best LEGO sets for kids. Since 2009, "I Put a Spell on You" which features prominently in the first movie, plays during the audience exit for the fireworks show Halloween Screams for Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland.
However, its products are now sold in more than 130 countries worldwide. The LEGO Ideas Disney Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage set is available for LEGO VIPs from 1st July at /Hocus-Pocus and LEGO Stores for all from 4th July 2023 priced at $229.99/€229.99/£199.99.
In Bag 4 we assemble and add the stairs to the upstairs. These are constructed using a similar clip-and-bar method and are also easy to bump out of place. I found this frustrating, as they kept moving when I was trying to attach the stairs.
The sisters have but one night to suck the essence of the children of Salem and survive for more than one night before sunrise. But Max, Allison, and Dani want to avoid their wish to come true, so they team up with a 300-year-old cat and Winifred's lover, Billy Butcherson, to save the day. Not only are there minifigures of every single dwarf, Snow White, the Evil Queen, and Prince Florian, but the details really make this set shine! You’ll even build Snow White’s sleeping chamber where the Prince breaks the Evil Queen’s spell in the movie. And with 2228 pieces, it’s a bit more manageable than the castle set above. This is a cute set that is very faithful to the original movie.
I was excited to see how this item would be incorporated into the set, and it looks great. It’s time for Bag 3 and we’re building the waterwheel! This is an iconic feature of the witches’ house, initially used by Zachary Binks to sneak into the house in his ill-fated rescue mission.
After causing havoc in the town, she runs with sister Sarah and Mary to a forbidden forest. There, they meet the Witch Mother and gives Winifred a magic spell book. In the present day, 29 years after the events of the first film, in 2022, an aspirant witch named Becca is celebrating her 16th birthday with her friend Izzy. When the owner of a magic store named Gilbert gives a magic black candle to Becca for her birthday, she goes to the forest with Izzy along with their other friend Cassie and they summon the Sanderson sisters.

It recently got a sequel on Disney+, and now it has a LEGO set that’s worth the wait. This set contains 2,316 pieces and comes with minifigs of the three Sanderson sister witches, plus Max, Dani, and Allison (plus the cat Thackery Binx). The cottage is full of details from the films and opens up to display them all. It’s on backorder at the moment, but it should ship in the next couple of months if you order it soon. Woah, I've never seen the film before, but this looks fantastic as a generic witches cottage.
Reiterating the conclusion of my personal bias, Monster Fighters would be better to me but kudos to the fan designer for the effort and success. Set looks like it’ll be popular as a parts pack for Medieval or Harry Potter MOCers. I like that it has dollhouse-style construction like the Old Fishing Store.I still wonder how many actual fans of the film will end up buying this. It’s a pretty expensive item for what is basically a cult movie.
The crumbling effect is achieved through a combination of gray and dark gray bricks with various shapes and textures. We also build a small graveyard, complete with three gravestones, placed slightly askew. Unfortunately, the gravestones are labeled with stickers rather than printed tiles. There’s a new LEGO Disney Castle, released in celebration of the company’s 100th anniversary.
